This series holds a special place in my heart, as it originated from a conversation with my youngest son. A few years ago, I mentioned the phrase "when pigs fly” and he asked what that meant. I explained it usually means that something will probably never happen. I don’t remember his reply but I remember the look of disappointment on his face, because he understood I was referring to the question he asked, prior to me saying it.

I remember hearing idioms and sayings, as a child, often weighted with negativity and limitations. Limitations that could stop someone from going after their dreams. I decided I wanted to make art with these idioms and infuse them with positivity, using balloons and vibrant colors. This series became my way of reimagining those phrases, turning them into a source of nostalgia, inspiration and hope.

I hope it inspires you to believe that the things meant to restrict or are imposed upon you, do not have to shape your path and define your journey.
