I take balloons very seriously.
Probably more seriously than necessary.

The Art of Looking Up
I love that balloons naturally make us smile. We usually think of them as symbols of celebration, milestones or accomplishments.
But what happens when you take that familiarity and find a new way to look at it? A new way to make that moment last a little longer?
And not just life’s biggest moments. What about the ones that often go unseen but are still part of our journey?
The result is usually a little unexpected, a little playful and hopefully makes you look twice.

Hi, I'm Katie.
Since 2018, I've been painting balloons, as well as collecting them. Waiting to paint and explore new ways to incorporate them into my artwork, whether it’s through a traditional style like trompe l’œil, a contemporary solo balloon portrait or storytelling. However my work finds you, I hope it makes you smile.
